What We Do

What We Do

CHANGES IN ENERGY STRUCTURE

Since May 2020, Syloon has been ardently aligning with global sustainability trends by integrating solar energy into its power mix. By 2022, the proportion of electricity sourced from solar energy impressively increased to 32.9%. This progression not only underscores Syloon's dedication to environmental stewardship but also signals its conviction in the potential of renewable energy. Through this transition to solar power, Syloon endeavors to curtail carbon emissions, paving the way for a brighter and more sustainable tomorrow.

Climate Action

Mountain environments represent major ecosystems which are essential to the survival of the global ecosystem. It is an important source of water, energy, forest products and agricultural products, etc. But they are rapidly changing and experiencing environmental degradation. Qiandao Lake area, where our leaders’ home is, become Syloon’s first target. By contracting with local authorities to manage mountainous areas in a scientific, reasonable, and sustainable manner, we aim to protect, restore and promote the local mountainous ecosystem.

Furthermore, we encourage Syloon employees to practice environmentally-friendly behaviors in their daily work and lives, such as using lunch boxes rather than disposable containers, taking green commuting, and participating in Qiandao Lake area’s reforestation activities, etc.

Reduce Inequalities

In order to repay society and reduce inequalities among cities and mountains, Syloon leaders actively takes actions like purchasing rural local products for our employees, supporting impoverished rural students. Through these measures, Syloon plays a small but important role in improving economic income and education quality of rural residents, and contributing to the elimination of poverty and inequality in the areas where we support.

Gender Equality

Syloon upholds the gender equality parts of SDGs. That’s because at Syloon, female employees account for as much as 70% of the workforce, and outstanding females can be found in every department. They have made an undeniable contribution to Syloon's success. Certainly, Syloon will continue to ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making positions and provide a free and inclusive growth platform and build broader career prospects for all female employees.

Rethinking Product Package

The packaging waste and pollution generated by enterprises in the production and operation process is a global environmental and resource issue, which threats the health of our earth and ocean and need urgent actions to solve it. At Syloon, we want to contribute to a circular economy where packaging material never becomes waste, but is recycled, reused or composted. To address the issue, Syloon spends a lot of energy and time to reimagine and redesign our packaging. We have developed a positive, science-based strategy - from reducing to replacing plastic packaging, and ultimately achieving 100% reusable and recyclable and composable product packaging. For example, for pen packaging, we use mesh bags instead of PVC bags, paper trays instead of plastic blister tray. We spare no effort in investing in and working on innovative sustainable packaging, and hope that through these innovations, we can provide consumers with new user experiences and bring positive impact on accelerating the progress of social sustainability.
